NOVE conducted a data protection audit on the personal data processing of students of The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences
NOVE’s data protection team, under the leadership of attorney Sten Tikerpe, conducted a data protection audit on behalf of The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, which analyzed the processing of personal data of advanced education students and compliance with data protection principles.
According to Sten, the approach of The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences to the protection of personal data is an example for many organizations: “The organizations themselves, but also the legal space and practice surrounding them, not to mention technological solutions, are in constant development, which is why data protection cannot be a one-time project – from time to time it is necessary to check whether the activities are continue to comply with data protection requirements,” he added.
Gaili Parts, a data protection specialist at The Estonian Academy of Security Sciences, was also satisfied with the cooperation: “The NOVE team was a very professional and thorough partner for us. With their help, we got a detailed overview of the situation of personal data processing, as well as recommendations on how to improve this field at the academy.”
The team also included attorneys-at-law Mari Past and Veiko Vaske.
